Kristy Cunnane is a teacher and artist living in the woods of Orland, Maine. She has been exploring artists’ books for more than 20 years. She enjoys the interplay of structure, form, image, and language that book making offers. She teaches regularly and has run a monthly art subscription for the last seven years.
In this workshop, we will be exploring the ever exciting one-page book! Participants will learn several one-page book structures, work on a bit of content, and create their own zine (small book). Bring drawing utensils (Sharpies, pens, pencils, markers, crayons…) and writing materials of your choice. Some colored pencils and pencils will be available. If you have any of these items, bring them: scissors, exacto-knife, cutting mat, ruler, or bone folder. If you have some content material that you’d like to bring such as a poem or recipe, bring that as well. If you have none of these things, don’t worry!
