If you are a writer or fan of fiction who is interested in scriptwriting, this generative workshop will give you an introductory overview and some in-class exercises to get you started in writing script scenes. Elizabeth Searle—the author of seven books of fiction and a rock opera, and the co-writer of the feature film I’ll Show You Mine (Duplass Brothers Productions)—will describe how she’s made the shift into writing original scripts, as well as adaptations of other writers’ works. She will lead in-class exercises that will give students a taste of the exciting and collaborative world of scriptwriting. No experience necessary; open to all who are curious about creating scripts.
